The Wellness Reflexology and Gua Sha Facial

Inspired by the pandemic, I studied these ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine facial techniques at the Mind Body Institute in South Dakota.  With busy lives, our nervous system is often in sympathetic dominance mode  (fight or flight).

As a holistic skin practitioner, my passion is to help you understand your skin.  In addition, I help with stress relief, enhancing your skin's immunity and improving your skin's barrier protection.  Your skin will feel better and function better.

Both Facial Reflexology and Gua Sha deliver positive outcomes by balancing the central nervous system, reducing stress and allowing the body to heal itself.

Facial Reflexology balances the central nervous system by moving us from sympathetic dominance to parasympathetic (rest and digest) mode. 

Acupressure points are accessed on the face which correspond to organs and organ systems.  The treatment is non-invasive.  It's simple and each treatment protocol is customized to your needs.

Gua Sha improves the lymphatic system's flow and promotes cleansing and detoxification of the body.  Lymph contains cellular debris and when flow is blocked, stagnation occurs.  Stagnated lymph creates the inability of our cells to properly exchange oxygen and nutrients.  White blood cells then become inefficient to defend against bacteria, viruses and pathogens.

Myofacial release promotes movement of lymph, releases muscular adhesions and increases the immune function.  In addition, circulation is improved,  blood flow is enhanced and the skin becomes brighter.
